As we all know, the 23/24 Broadway theatre season has been one of the busiest in a very long time with many new plays and musicals opening within a short period. One of those shows was The Notebook. It features a score by pop writer Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunsetter. The show had a pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago where it was met with unanimous rave reviews.

Emmy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, and composer Ingrid Michaelson has announced a brand new traditional pop album, For the Dreamers, alongside a release of her new single, “What A Wonderful World.” A lush, swirling lullaby with a sense of wonder and instrumentation that captures the nostalgia of the music of the 40s and 50s, Michaelson’s take on this timeless Great American Songbook classic is now streaming everywhere. Singer-songwriter Sydney Sherrill has announced her new EP Luckiest Girl Alive, out July 12th. The project acts as a time capsule of her youth, encompassing the various emotions she experienced personally or witnessed from those around her. Following its April 19th release by Atlantic Records, The Notebook (Original Broadway Cast Recording) debuted at #1 on the Top Broadway chart in Music Connect.

Ahead of her New England tour, which begins May 3 in Northampton, MA, Jenny Owen Youngs shares a live performance video for “Next Time Around” from Avalanche, her first full-length solo album in over a decade and Yep Roc Records debut.
